We are committed to supporting our community.

Instead of reinventing the wheel, we try to support the many, many organizations in our area who do important work in our communities. We considered starting a non-profit for our charitable endeavors, but looking around we already have a lot of wonderful programs in our area. We're dedicated to investing time working with the programs already working hard in our area to support local families. Keep reading for more information on projects we are involved in and ways you can get involved as well.

NICU Libraries

Since 2022 we've donated over 100 books to our local hospital's NICU. Being a NICU family is hard- we've been there ourselves when we had to spend 4 weeks in the NICU with our preemies. We helped set up a little library locally to help give back to our community and other parents navigating the NICU experience. The library helps to provide parents with another way to connect and bond with their babies, and we also know that reading to NICU babies is good for their development. If you'd like to contribute you can shop through our Amazon wishlist or reach out to us for other ways to donate.

Volunteerism

Volunteerism is near and dear to our hearts. We love giving back to our community. Rebecca volunteered for many years as a La Leche League Leader, supporting new parents in our community though support groups, phone calls and in-person visits. Currently, Rebecca sits on the board for a few different organizations that make big impacts in our community and across Iowa including the Iowa Breastfeeding Coalition and the Family Planning Council of Iowa.  There are many opportunities to volunteer in our community and we'd love to help connect you with organizations that are looking for volunteers.
If you have any general breastfeeding questions, please know that we are unable to answer them without having reviewed a health history and having signed consent forms. We can only answer questions from current patients. Please schedule an appointment if you'd like to discuss your questions.
